November 1st, 2009

On 13th November at 3pm, Sam Stadlen will be playing the bass viol in a concert at the International Early Music Exhibition in Greenwich. He will be playing basso continuo for one of his viol teachers, Alison Crum, as well as Roy Marks and Ibi Aziz in a concert organised by Jane Julier, the luthier who made the instruments that each of the performers own or will be playing. The programme will consist entirely of French music for viols, including works by Antoine Forqueray and Marin Marais. This will be a good opportunity to come and hear some new viol repertoire for anyone who wants to find out more about the instrument and its capabilities.

Entry to the concert is free, but seats are very limited!
