PhD student Suzanne Fatta selected to perform the Monteverdi Vespers in Venice

PhD student Suzanne Fatta was selected as one of 10 singers to perform the Monteverdi Vespers in Venice (8 September, 2010) on the 400-year anniversary of the work, with period instruments, directed by Philip Thorby, at the Frari Church where the master himself is buried. Sue is singing Tenor, and will perform some of the tenor solos (www.earlybyrd.org.uk). In the meantime, Sue will give the world-premiere of Reflection noitcelfeR by PhD composer Emily Kalies at Sensorium, 6 January, York Guildhall (www.sensorium-york.com). And in other good upcoming news, Sue has been booked to perform Schoenberg's Pierrot Lunaire in Rome in the 2010-11 season.
